In his letter, Reader has questions for Democrats, Julien M. Selles suggests Democrats never discussed the shirt, “Make Assassinations Great Again.” Is he connected to what is discussed at Democratic meetings or is this just a guess?
He says he sees us as the party of hate. Interesting, to say the least. How about the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, when some marchers chanted, “Jews will not replace us?” The president of a College Republicans group in Washington state resigned after news reports that he attended the rally.
Or how about a week ago, when thousands of messages in a national Young Republicans group chat containing racist, antisemitic, homophobic comments and calls for violence toward liberals were uncovered?
In my opinion, open borders was nothing more than a GOP talking point which had zero facts. Expulsions via Title 42 in two years expelled over 3 million people under Pres. Biden. The Department of Homeland Security removed 685,000 in fiscal 2024.
Democrats were not part of the group who attacked the Capitol building and the police protecting it. Please spare us the rumor that this was Pelosi’s job to call in the National Guard when the vice president and president were in Washington, D.C.
About the Ten Commandments in schools. If someone wants that, they should go to a private school. Children in public schools come from many religions and faiths.
Trump himself has broken at least eight commandments, with speculation he’s broken all 10. I’d go into some of those but my letter is long enough.
