Deer Valley Unified board discuss social workers, counselors in schools

Deer Valley Unified School District officials this week attempted to address parent concerns regarding having counselors and social workers at district schools.

The district, which serves portions of north Glendale, north Peoria and north Phoenix, has seen an influx of parents asking about personnel to help support students in such areas as bullying.

Board member Jennie Paperman gave a presentation on a review of all non-campus administration and leadership positions for current school year.
