Deer Valley Unified will test eligibility for 2 new schools

It’s been two decades since the district qualified for such funding, but projected growth may change that

Deer Valley Unified School District took a step toward adding two new schools in order to keep up with massive projected population growth up north.

The governing board at its Tuesday night meeting unanimously approved the School Facilities Oversight Board’s recommendation to include in the district’s Capital Plan a new high school by 2029 and a K-8 school by 2032.

There’s still more ahead in the qualification process.
