Deer Valley Unified School District will give up its share of almost 100 acres of undeveloped leased land in return for a new shared parking lot near Sandra Day O’Connor High School in north Phoenix.
The governing board is expected to approve the Arizona State Land Department land lease amendment at its 7 p.m. meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 10, the board’s last meeting of the calendar year. The board in May of 2023 unanimously approved the city of Phoenix’s letter of intent on the subject.
The land is adjacent, and just north of, O'Connor High School, which is located at 25250 N. 35th Ave.
