All eyes are on the new school year ahead, but it’s been business as usual for students and teachers all summer long in the meantime.
Deer Valley Unified School District drew to a close its summer enrichment programming, which kept students plenty active with learning activity. Some 964 students registered for the summer programs, which took place at Gavilan Peak School in Anthem, Norterra Canyon School and Paseo Hills School in Phoenix, and Legend Springs Elementary in Glendale. There were also preschool locations at Norterra and Mountain Ridge High School.
Grouped by age, the enrichment programming was open to students aged 5 to 12 and offered everything from yoga to dance classes on campus to bringing in speakers from an author to Arizona Science Center representatives to weekly field trips to the likes of the Musical Instrument Museum, public pools, bowling, and live theater.
