Deer Valley Unified approves tax levy to support new school

$900K will go toward elementary campus infrastructure

The Deer Valley Unified School District governing board voted to approve a tax levy to help pay for infrastructure on the district’s new elementary school.

The 3-2 vote on July 13 will establish a primary tax levy of $900,000 to cover the cost of ingress and egress at the new site at the intersection of Inspiration Mountain Parkway and Pinnacle Vista in north Phoenix. The school is expected to be open for the 2022-23 school year.

The total amount breaks down to a tax of $2.5737 per $100,000 per home within the district boundary.
