There is something special about basketball at Deer Valley, the crowds both the boys and girls teams draw and the way those teams support each other.
Both teams are blessed with talented rosters and coaches that demand defensive intensity and a team approach. And both these teams have a legitimate shot at winning 4A Conference titles in March.
The boys started 13-0, ranked No. 2 in 4A and No. 9 in the Open Division rankings as of Jan. 19. On that same day, the girls were 11-1 and No. 5 in 4A and No. 15 statewide.
