Deer Valley Airport operator adding hangar, staff hints at further airport expansion

Phoenix Deer Valley Airport’s fixed-base operator is adding a new hangar for the second time in two years, with further growth at the airport likely.

The Phoenix Aviation Advisory Board last week unanimously approved an amendment to Cutter Aviation’s airport land lease to add 4,193 square feet, a move that will give additional room needed for a 55,000-square-foot hangar to be built. This comes after Cutter completed a new 60,000-square-foot hangar in 2023.

This map and site plan shows where Cutter Aviation’s new hangar at Phoenix Deer Valley Airport will be in relation to the one that opened in 2023 and how aircraft will fit inside of it. The pink line represents the 5.5 - by 760-square-foot narrow rectangle that will be added to Cutter's lease with the airport to allow for new hangar to be built.
