Decision nears on potential Peoria Unified school closures

Governing board, administrators go over final concerns from community

The Peoria Unified School District is close to making a final decision on potential school closures, repurposing of facilities, and certain boundary adjustments.

As many as six separate proposals are planned to come before the governing board March 12 for their consideration:

• Closing Pioneer Elementary School and adjusting boundary for K-6 students to Foothills Elementary School;
