Glendale, West Valley cities again hire DC law firm to represent Luke interests

Collaboration resulted in $121M appropriated to base between 2017 and 2021

For the next four years, Luke Air Force Base and its West Valley Partners will have more of the same federal support in Washington, D.C.

The Glendale city council late last month voted to pay its portion of the $144,000 annual contract with D.C. law firm Baker Donelson, which will act as representative and advocate for Luke, the city of Glendale, and the 13 other WVP jurisdictions.

Those entities include Avondale, Buckeye, El Mirage, Gila Bend, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Peoria, Phoenix, Surprise, Tolleson, Wickenburg, Youngtown and Maricopa County, all of which pick up the balance of the contract. Glendale's portion is $27,273.
