The holidays are all about creating special moments with the ones you love, and what better way to enhance those moments than with a thoughtfully crafted cocktail?

Whether you’re hosting an intimate family gathering or a festive soirée with friends, the right drink can set the tone and bring everyone together. With a dash of creativity and a few quality ingredients, you can craft cocktails that capture the magic of the season. After all, it’s the perfect time to eat, drink and be merry!

Incorporate a seasonal mixer

One of the easiest ways to make your cocktails feel festive is to embrace the flavors of the season.

You can’t go wrong with classics like spiced apple cider, tart cranberry juice or a splash of eggnog. For something lighter, ginger beer or pomegranate juice adds a refreshing, festive twist.

Add a festive flare as a garnish

Think of your cocktail as a blank canvas and your garnish as the final touch that brings it to life.

Sugared cranberries can add a pop of color, while a sprig of rosemary or sliced orange peel is a great aromatic addition.

Want to go the extra mile for guests? Rim your glass with crushed candy canes or sprinkles for an added touch. My personal favorite trick is to add a pinch of edible glitter.

These small but thoughtful details make your cocktails unforgettable and get your guests in the holiday spirit before they even take a sip.

Try a locally made liquor

There’s no better time than the holidays to support local businesses, and incorporating locally crafted spirits into your cocktails is a wonderful way to do so.

A premium, small-batch liquor like One Handsome Bastard vodka can elevate your drinks. Whether you’re mixing up a classic or experimenting with a new seasonal recipe, using locally made liquor ensures your cocktail stands out. Plus, it’s a great conversation starter and a way to celebrate the community spirit of the season.

This holiday season, let your cocktails be the star of your celebration, with seasonal mixers, festive garnishes and locally crafted spirits. Cheers to a season filled with good company, unforgettable cocktails and lasting memories!
