At 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, bells will be ringing across the nation marking the 235th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution.

The Apache Trail Chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will be recognizing this founding document by ringing a bell at the Gold Canyon United Methodist Church, 6640 S. Kings Ranch Road in Gold Canyon, according to a release.

Other churches in the Valley have been invited to join by ringing their bells at the same time.

Community members are encouraged to also join in the event by ringing their own bells or attend bell ringing at participating locations, the release states.
