Dallas D. Thirey

Dallas Thirey, 93 years young, passed to Glory on Thursday, December 12, 2024 in Dearborn. Dallas was born on April 22, 1931 in Reed City, to Raymond and Charlotte (Leach) Thirey. He was a humble U.S. Marine and husband to the late Dorothy (McAlpin) Thirey. They had one son, David McAlpin Thirey who passed in March. His brother, Jack (Marge); nephew, Dennis; and his beloved dogs, Mackenzie and Ranger welcomed Dallas home. Dallas retired from Ford in 1986 and they moved to Sun City West, AZ where they opened a Hallmark Store, became members of Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, Gainey Ranch C.C., and were founding members of Scots of the West Valley. In April he moved back to Michigan. Grateful for him are: daughter-in-law, Carol; and numerous family, extended family and friends.
