COLUMBUS, MONTANA — Daisy Ann Wallace, 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, April 19, surrounded by her children at Meadowlark Assisted Living. Born in Grafton, West Virginia, on December 30, 1930, Ann worked at the Hope Natural Gas Company in Clarksburg where she met Grover E. Wallace; the two were married on July 17, 1958, and shared 60 years of marriage until his passing in 2018. Ann and Grover's life involved many moves, and Ann always had a gift for making a home wherever she and the family landed. After several years on the East Coast, they moved West, spending 17 years in Green River, Wyoming, followed by 25 years enjoying the landscape of Gold Canyon, Arizona. In 2024, she returned to the mountains to be closer to her family, spending time in Big Timber before her final year in Columbus. Naturally social and outgoing, Ann loved nothing more than a good conversation with friends and family. Her greatest joys were her six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and the many beloved dogs she cared for throughout her life. She is survived by her sons, Grover Wallace (wife Lois Wallace) of Big Timber, MT, and Michael Wallace (wife Kim Wallace) of Scarborough, ME; her daughter, Sheila Drell of Sheridan, WY; as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her cherished pups. Services are tentative for Tuesday July 28th at 11am at St Marks Episcopal Church in Big Timber, Montana.
