CUSD revises COVID-19 guidelines, student and instructional policy

Items discussed include using biological sex to determine sports team designations and COVID-19 vaccination requirements

The Chandler Unified School District board adopted a series of policy changes ranging from COVID-19 guidelines to how gender relates to playing on sports teams.

The items, which included graduation requirements, teaching controversial sensitive issues and hazing, were among a series of policy recommendation topics from the Arizona School Boards Association. The board approved hem at a meeting on Sept. 28.
