CUSD board: Fire alarms, contracts, security on agenda

One of the three action items on Wednesday night’s Chandler Unified School District Governing Board regular meeting agenda is considered a safety item.

A half-million-dollar safety item, it turns out.

The board is set to vote on a contract with Copper State Fire Protection for $538,000 to install new fire alarm systems at Conley and Sanborn elementary schools and at the district’s support services building.
