Crossing the Agua Fria River: Peoria reaches water milestone

Most people don’t think of water unless it doesn’t come out of their faucet when they turn it on. And that’s when they really think about it.

But the city of Peoria recently hit a milestone that residents in the northern part of town should take note of.

On March 25, the first drops of a sustainable water supply crossed under the dry Agua Fria riverbed in 36-inch piping from the river’s east side where Peoria’s water system resides.
