Crime up on Central Arizona College campuses

Eight crimes were reported in 2022 at two of Central Arizona College’s five campuses — more than the total for 2021 and 2020, according to a federally mandated campus-security report released in September.

No crimes were reported in 2019, 2020 or 2021 at CAC’s Casa Grande Center and Florence Center.

The uptick in crimes in 2022 was because of an increase of students and people on CAC’s campuses as COVID restrictions were lifted, CAC Police Chief Greg Roberts said.
