Scottsdale was a safer place in 2022 than the previous year, according to crime statistics reported by the Scottsdale Police Department to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Overall, all types of crime were down 19.27% through October 2022 from 2021, according to the report.
“It is always great to see a drop in crime rates, although there can be many reasons why it happens,” said Scottsdale Police Department spokesman, officer Aaron Bolin. “The Scottsdale Police Department remains prepared and eager to serve our community members to keep them and their property safe.”
