There was one crime reported in 2022 — compared to two in 2021 and 10 in 2020 — at two Mesa Community College campuses and a downtown center in the Maricopa County Community College District, according to a federally mandated campus-security report released in September.
There was also a drug arrest in 2022 and two alcohol referrals in 2020, according to the report.
Staying in contact with the campus community, quality police work and being vigilant contributed to the fewer crimes in this latest report, Mesa Community College Police Cmdr. Sonny Hudson said.
