Cox, Fresh Start team to aid Phoenix-area domestic violence victims

It’s no secret the COVID-19 pandemic brought a lot of little- known issues or disparities to light, and a vast increase in domestic violence cases is one of them.

A Phoenix-based nonprofit is doing its best to help women affected by violence who simply want to get back on their feet, thanks to a little help from a local communications company. Cox Communications gave $20,000 to Fresh Start Women’s Foundation to go toward its Family Law Support program and establish the Cox Virtual Courtroom, which allows Fresh Start’s clients to attend court or meet with legal representatives virtually as they face a new beginning.
