Cox Charities grants $10,000 to West Valley domestic violence shelter

Cox Charities has awarded a $10,000 grant to the New Life Center, a Goodyear nonprofit aiding survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking.

The grant is part of Cox Charities' increased giving in Arizona, with some grants rising to $20,000. Cox employees personally fund the charity, raising $540,000 this year for local nonprofits.

"We are incredibly grateful to receive the generous $10,000 grant from Cox Charities. The grant helps ensure that survivors and their families are met with compassion, critical resources, and a safe place to begin rebuilding their lives. Cox Charities’ investment strengthens our ability to offer trauma-informed, holistic care and make a lasting impact in our community," said Tori Lund, community engagement manager for New Life Center.

This marks the 29th year Cox Charities has supported local Arizona communities. Since 1996, employees have raised more than $11 million and awarded grants to about 1,950 Arizona nonprofits.

“At a time when philanthropy faces significant challenges, Cox employees continue to show what’s possible when we come together as a community. We’re proud to step up, increase our grant support, and ensure that local organizations have the resources they need to continue their vital work,” said Susan Anable, Cox Phoenix Market vice president.
