The numbers show that COVID, while on an encouraging decline for months, is certainly not over, including in Glendale.
According to the latest data the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) posted this past Wednesday, current cases are up a modest 3% across the city about a month since the Glendale Independent’s last measured time period, through March 30.
The number of people statewide hospitalized for COVID saw its first uptick since January, between March and early April, but have returned to a decline the past two weeks. The time period between April 3 and 17 saw two weeks of increases in COVID cases statewide after 11 straight weeks of decline, according to the latest ADHS data.
