COVID-19 tally in Goodyear tops 10,000

The Arizona Department of Health Services reported the number of COVID-19 cases in Goodyear’s 85338 and 85395 ZIP codes was 10,014 as of Friday, Feb. 5, a 3.04% increase over last Friday and a 0.36% increase over Thursday. That represents an increase of 296 new cases over the week and 36 cases overnight.

The number of new cases dropped significantly over the week ending Jan. 29, when 621 were reported.

The agency said more than 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence:
