COVID-19 still proving deadly for seniors in Arizona

The Valley and state are seeing far fewer cases of COVID-19 so far this winter than in previous pandemic years.

But the lack of testing sites in the region, and the lack of data may be showing a rosier picture than what may exist, one expert says.

“Its very hard to track COVID-19 right now. Most people who believe they have COVID are using at home testing kits,” said Dr. Joshua LaBaer, executive director of the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University.
