COVID-19 saliva testing continues at Arizona State University as global pandemic evolves

Record cases, deaths dominate headlines as vaccinations begin

The Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University continues to perform vital COVID-19 tests to residents throughout the state with fluid practices to maximize efficiency, experts say.

ASU first introduced the saliva tests to the public earlier this year after researchers jumped into action to help address the growing pandemic.

Dr. Joshua LaBaer, the lab director at the Biodesign Institute, was in charge of leading this effort and continues to help develop testing at the university.
