COVID-19 outbreak at San Tan Valley elementary school increases

The number of elementary school students at Ellsworth Elementary with active cases of COVID-19 is now up to 53 from 44 last Thursday.

Ellsworth Elementary is in the San Tan Valley in Pinal County. As a result of the increase in COVID-19 cases, all fifth- and sixth-grade classes at that school have been temporarily moved to remote learning through Friday, Aug. 13.

The school year started in late July.
