The SCW Bocce Club has announced a delay in the beginning of fall league play and open bocce sessions.

The bocce courts, located at 19003 N. RH Johnson Blvd., are in the midst of a construction project in which all the bocce courts are getting redone.

“The Club is very excited about this but we need to be a little patient about getting access to the courts,” a press release notes.

The tentative start date for both league play (Monday through Saturday) and open bocce (Monday and Wednesday evenings at 5 p.m.) is Monday, Nov. 6. When the date has been confirmed, the club will notify league captains and will post the latest information on the club website at bocce.scwclubs.com.

Additionally, the free bocce clinic that was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28 and the fall Bocce Club general meeting posted for Sunday, Nov. 4, have both been canceled.

An additional free bocce clinic has been scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 13.
