County board decides home can be built on small Peralta Estates lot near Apache Junction

A variance has been approved to reduce the minimum lot size requirements in a single residence zone for one parcel in the unincorporated area in the Peralta Estates Unit No. 2 subdivision just east of Apache Junction.

The Pinal County Board of Adjustment on Jan. 25 voted unanimously to approve the variance and to reduce the minimum lot area requirements to 20,000 square feet, or less than half an acre, from the acre requirement of 43,560 square feet for lot No. 46.

The variance will allow the applicant to obtain permits to build a single-family home on one undersized single-residence zoned property with applicable development standards, Case Coordinator Laree Mason wrote in a staff report.
