County attorney declines to file charges in Goodyear fatal bicycle accident

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office informed the public Thursday that it will not proceed with a felony prosecution in the February Cotton Lane bridge bicycle case.

In February, a pickup driver plowed through a West Valley Cycle bicycle meetup on a Cotton Lane bridge in Goodyear. In a white pickup truck, the driver killed two and injured 18.

Goodyear police said they were disappointed in the judgment.
