Countdown begins to Scottsdale’s ‘Super Season’ next winter

Super Bowl, WM Phoenix Open among several events in Scottsdale early 2023

While the Valley of the Sun is preparing for the Super Bowl next February, the city of Scottsdale is readying itself to welcome thousands of visitors for a three-month slate of events — of which the big game will be a major portion.

Although the Super Bowl will be in Glendale and events are reportedly in the works for downtown Phoenix, the Scottsdale and Paradise Valley areas are preparing for what they’re calling “Super Season” — several weeks of top-notch events including WM Phoenix Open, Super Bowl, Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction, Parada del Sol and the Arabian Horse show.

Officials estimate Scottsdale’s bed and restaurant taxes will increase dramatically as visitors flock to the area, and venues, restaurants, bars and hotel rooms are filled.
