Council approves $2.29 billion budget

Councilmember Barry Graham feels employee pay increases too high

After a spirited debate, the Scottsdale City Council approved the city’s fiscal year 2024-25 budget during its June 4 meeting.

The vote was 6-1 to adopt the $2.29 billion budget.

That breaks down into $761 million for the operating budget; $1.07 billion for capital improvements and $464.6 million in contingencies and reserves accounts.
