Could 2023 Super Bowl in Glendale fall on a holiday weekend?

NFL adding 17th game figures to bump future Super Bowl dates

The NFL announced March 30 that the league will add a 17th regular season game, which figures to change up future Super Bowl dates, including the 2023 game at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, and the big game could line up with other holidays as a result.

The first Super Bowl to be impacted is next year’s, in Los Angeles. The game was originally scheduled for Feb. 6, but with the regular season now extended by one week, the new date for Super Bowl LVI is Feb. 13. Football fans are speculating if future Super Bowls, like the 2023 game in Glendale, which previously had been scheduled for Feb. 5 but could change, could coincide with three-day President’s Day Weekends, which would mean having the Monday after the Super Bowl off as a holiday for many.

Or, that future Super Bowls could even coincide with Valentine’s Day on Feb. 14.
