Cost of Luke Days parking concerns former aviator

OPINION — I am looking forward to the Luke Days 2026 air show at Luke Air Force Base in March, being that I was an aviator in the Navy in the early 70s, and enjoy the flyovers of the F-35s in this area.

I was taken back by the $45 charge for parking, even for remote lots. There is no parking fee if you buy a premium ticket, which begins at $82.50.

However, this area is mainly occupied by retired members, many of which are retired military, and probably many that are on limited budgets.
