Cost for Old Town parking garage a moving target

The cost of the controversial parking garage planned for First Street and Brown Avenue appears to be a moving target.

The Scottsdale City Council agreed in July 2024 on a estimated budget of $15.2 million for a two-story structure on that site.

However, the cost for the garage was put at $18 million for three stories above ground (there are already two underground parking levels at the site) during a March 12 public outreach meeting at the Civic Center Library.
