Controversial Peoria Unified history course canceled

A controversial American history elective course planned to be taught at Centennial High School in the coming school year has been canceled.

Peoria Unified School District spokeswoman Danielle Airey said it will not be offered because there was not enough interest from students.

About two weeks ago, PUSD administration determined the course would not run and subsequently informed the school board.
