Drivers should expect delays beginning Monday, Nov. 6, along Rural Road in Tempe near US 60, city officials said.

Construction will narrow the road to one lane in each direction for nine weeks, according to a release.

Delays are expected on Rural Road from north of Southern Avenue to Baseline Road and beyond, the release stated. Alternate routes are McClintock Drive or Mill Avenue.

Access to US 60 from Rural Road will be available, as will access to area businesses and neighborhoods.

Those visiting the Tempe History Museum, Tempe Public Library, Pyle Adult Recreation Center or Edna Arts should use the Southern Avenue street entrance, officials said.
