Ameris Construction has started building Edison Midtown Phase II, a 60-unit multifamily development at 3131 N. Central Ave., Phoenix.

The development will complete the project, which includes the existing Edison Midtown Phase I, which opened in 2018 and is sold out, according to a release announcing the recent second-phase groundbreaking.

“It’s a great time to build a new construction, multifamily for-sale product,” Dale Regehr of Tannin Developments stated in the release. “There is very little of this type of inventory in the market at the present time.”

The condominiums will consist of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and two-bedroom plus den units. The condos feature ceilings up to 11 feet, hard-surface flooring throughout, kitchens with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops.

Twenty of the 60 condominiums in Phase II have been sold, according to the release.

The builder estimates the project will be completed in 2023.

“We are thrilled to be able to complete a project that’s been on pause for nearly six years now. This will be the only for-sale product in downtown Phoenix at the time of completion - which is a big deal in today’s real estate market,” said Chris Jones, Ameris Construction president and partner.
