Conservative John Arnold files for Arizona Legislative District 4 seat

Posted

Republican business owner and Scottsdale resident, John Arnold, has filed his petition signatures in the newly formed Legislative District 4.

Encompassing parts of Arcadia, North Phoenix, Paradise Valley, and Scottsdale, Legislative District 4 is projected to be one of the more competitive districts in the state, according to a press release.

Arnold filed 1,027 signatures with the Secretary of State – almost three times the required minimum to qualify for the ballot, the release states.

“I want to start by thanking all my supporters for helping me hit this initial milestone. I’m grateful for their support, and I’m ready to ramp things up to get our message to every voter in the district,” he said in a prepared statement.

“As a business owner, people put their trust in me every single day to make prudent investment decisions with their hard-earned money. As a lawmaker, I will ensure that taxpayer money is being used wisely to secure Arizona’s future.”

In addition to qualifying for the ballot, Arnold ranked in the top 10 in fundraising for legislative candidates statewide on his first campaign finance report of 2022, the release states.

“I’ve lived in the district for over 23 years, so I understand what issues are important to the community," he explained. "They want a strong economy accessible to every Arizonan. They want more accountability and transparency in our public schools. They want to keep our communities safe. And they want a leader who can deliver, and I believe I’m that leader."
