Congressional District 3 candidates engage in primary debates

Arizona’s Congressional District 3 Republican and Democratic party candidates took the stage during two primary debates held May 22, discussing pressing district issues as they vie to represent their respective parties.

Held at BitFire Studios and hosted by Arizona’s Clean Elections Commission, the Republican and Democratic debates covered a number of issues including border safety, homelessness, inflation and abortion rights.

Two candidates — Jesús Mendoza and Jeff Zink — spoke during the Republican debate, while three candidates participated in the Democratic debate — Yassamin Ansari, Raquel Terán and Duane Wooten.
