Tuesday night's Glendale City Council agenda item making the canvass of the primary election votes official will mark the penultimate step in a year of sweeping change to the council.
Lupe Conchas (Cactus District) and Dianna Guzman (Yucca District) won their races and will begin their first council terms in 2025. In April, the council appointed Leandro Baldenegro to the Ocotillo District seat after Jamie Aldama resigned to run for Mayor.
Conchas was in the hotly contested Cactus District race against incumbent councilman and Vice Mayor Ian Hugh. Conchas led throughout by never by 100 votes or more.
