Community rallies around Peoria principal after sex scandal hits high school

Dozens of students, staff and parents gathered at a public governing board meeting Feb. 12 to speak in support of Centennial High School Principal Scott Hollabaugh, who has been under pressure from some community members who claim he failed to report alleged sexually related incidents by teachers with a former student.

Previous to the meeting, the Peoria Unified School District governing board held a private executive session to receive legal advice from counsel regarding Hollabaugh.

Supporters came clothed in Centennial red praising Hollabaugh as a present, authentic and caring leader who brings a culture of belonging to the school.
