Mesa community plan, rezoning to be discussed April 14 for mixed-use development, retail shops

Discussion on a 21-acre mixed-use transit-oriented development and a rezoning and site plan review of 1.6 acres for the development of a commercial center are planned at the April 14 meeting of the Mesa Planning and Zoning Board.

A virtual study session begins at 3 p.m. with the meeting at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

The seven-member Mesa Planning and Zoning Board conducts hearings and makes recommendations to the Mesa City Council on requests for zoning changes and on required site plans. The board also considers and recommends changes in the city’s long-range plans and in the municipal code concerning planning and zoning matters, according to the city’s website.
