Collision with pedestrian results in death in central Phoenix

A 60-year old man was killed Monday night in a collision in central Phoenix, Phoenix Police said in a release Tuesday.

Officers responded to the area of 24th Avenue and West Glenrosa Avenue about 9:50 p.m. regarding a pedestrian who was hit by a car. When officers arrived, they located the man, later identified as David Mills, with serious injuries, according to a press release.

Mills was transported to a nearby hospital where he died. The vehicle involved with the collision remained on scene as did the driver, according to a press release.
