An man was killed in a collision with a vehicle late Tuesday night, Phoenix Police statedThursday in a release.
Officers responded to the area of 17th Avenue and Tonto Street about 11:20 p.m. March 20 in response to a collision involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they found an man who was struck by a vehicle and was pinned underneath it, according to the release.
The Phoenix Fire Department responded and removed the man from under the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
