David Leavitt is the athletic director at Heritage Academy Gateway, but a student doesn’t have to be in sports to get on his radar. Leavitt sees and knows students as individuals, whether they play sports.
Over the years, Leavitt has doled out countless pieces of advice, coached multiple sports and cultivated school spirit. He is constantly encouraging students with their athletic aspirations, and he manages to do it all while maintaining a lighthearted and fun demeanor. Leavitt even allows students to sign his bald head after larger achievements.
This relationship has made him one of the foundational members of our school and a role model for students and teachers alike.
