Triple digit weather is not keeping golfers off the courses.

Bill Schwind, Recreation Centers of Sun City West general manager, said locals are keeping the courses busy, but numbers are flat for the month. However, the driving range activity is picking up.

When play is down and the courses are healthy, some residents are using golf course facilities to walk pets, which Schwind said is not safe and not what courses are designed for.
