Clifton Builders Program selects Scottsdale student for latest cohort

Samuel McCracken of Scottsdale is among 34 students selected for the seventh cohort of the Clifton Builders Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Clifton Strengths Institute.

Recognized as someone with high leadership and entrepreneurial potential, McCracken is a sophomore business administration major at the university, according to a press release.

“We use three words to describe the Clifton Builders: stretch, disrupt and transform,” stated Tim Hodges, executive director of the Clifton Strengths Institute. “We are intentional about helping students stretch and develop their unique strengths. Builders disrupt the status quo and work to make it better. They also transform their lives and the lives of those they lead and serve.”

Students declare a Clifton Builders Management major or minor and choose one of three tracks: business builder, team builder or community builder.

Builders also enroll in the course Building a Life for Impact, where they receive an advanced understanding of management and gain hands-on experience through a consulting project with area businesses and organizations, the release added.

“We don’t just present and discuss content in the classroom,” Hodges stated. “We’re intentional about creating experiences where our students interact with business leaders - and each other - as they develop their own perspectives and plans for the future.”
