Paradise Valley and Scottsdale have ordinances regarding outdoor lighting. Outdoor lighting must be shielded. That means those fiesta lights you saw at big box retailers are not allowed because there is light trespass to neighbors and from public viewpoint.
In Paradise Valley, temporary lighting is allowed from Oct. 15 through Jan. 15. Please respect this ordinance and keep the skies dark in our community.
