Clayton O. Panter

SUN CITY WEST - Clayton O. Panter, 86, of Sun City West, Ariz., passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at Hospice of Arizona in Sun City West, Ariz. Clayton was born on June 12, 1924 in Shiloh, Ill., to Lillian (Hollman) and Clayton G. Panter. He graduated from North Kansas City High School and St. Louis University. Clayton served his country during WWII and the Korean War. He married Jean Pullen (2nd Lt. Army Nurse Corp) in November 1946. Clay retired from Howard Publications as a Corporate Vice President. He was a member of VFW, Sun City Elks Lodge and attended the Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West. A visitation and memorial service was done on Wednesday, September 29. He was laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill. next to his first wife, Jean and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary, his three daughters, Lynda Trewin of Platte City, MO; grandsons, Matthew (Tess) of Denver, Rex of Atlanta, Ga. Dianne Reeder (Roger)of Liberty, MO; granddaughter, Tami; great-grandsons, Adam and Tyler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandson Chad of Liberty, MO., Debbie Kirch (Bob) of Liberty, MO; granddaughter Rachel and grandson Jacob of Liberty, MO. Clay was a cherished husband and a loving father. He will be missed tremendously. The family suggests contributions be given to the American Cancer Society.
